Qantory Help CenterTest mode and live sync
Every new sync group starts in test mode. Qantory follows your stores and shows what it would do, without changing anything in Shopify.
Test mode
- Stock changes in your stores are received and shown on the group’s Activity tab as previews.
- No quantity is written to any store.
- Test mode is never limited by your plan: use it with your whole catalogue for as long as you like.
Before you go live
The group’s Setup tab is a checklist. Enable live sync is available only when every item is done:
- at least two stores in the group, all connected;
- products scanned in every store and at least one product confirmed;
- a shared stock location attached in every store;
- your plan covers the stores and products of the group.
Tip: if your stores start with different quantities, run Stock check & repair after going live to align them.
Live sync
Choose Enable live sync and confirm. The group badge changes to Live sync and stock changes start moving between stores.
To stop writing to Shopify at any time, choose Switch to test mode. Updates that were already on their way are not written either.
Pausing
- Pause group stops all sync for the group.
- Pause a store (group’s Stores tab) stops updates to and from that store only. Badges show “1 store paused” next to Live sync.
Changes made while a store or group is paused are not replayed when you resume. After resuming, run a stock check to align the stores.
