Shared stock locations

A shared stock location tells Qantory which Shopify location in each store holds the same physical stock.

Add a shared location

1. Group → Locations tab → Add shared stock location and give it a name, for example “Main warehouse”.
2. For each store choose Attach location and pick the Shopify location that holds that stock.
3. If you just created a location in Shopify and it is not listed, use Refresh locations.

Several locations

You can add as many shared locations as you need, for example “Warehouse” and “Shop Milan”. Each one keeps its own shared quantity: a sale at Shop Milan updates the Shop Milan location of the other stores, not the warehouse.

Good to know

• Only stock at attached locations is synced. Locations that are not attached are never read or changed.
• A shared location must be attached in every store that should receive its updates. The Setup tab warns you when it is not.
• Inventory tracking must be on for the product at that location in Shopify.
